2026 Week of the Young Child in Taos County

It all started when…

The Paso a Paso Network members have long been interested in supporting the National Association for the Education of Young Children Annual Week of the Young Child. In 2026, WE ARE DOING IT!

We hope you heard about work on the radio or saw it in the TaosNews or on a community calendar. But there is so much good work happening for young children and families, we needed a place to put it all!

Why we are doing it

Paso a Paso recognizes that National Association for the Education of Young Children is celebrating 100 years of advocacy for children, families and educations - AND WE WANT TO JOIN THEM

At Paso a Paso we know that high quality early childhood education, in all forms (home visiting, child care, head start, early intervention, community activities and more) is laying the foundation for children’s life long learning.

We respect and support the complex, valuable, essential, and demanding work of the professionals in the early childhood field.

Paso a Paso Members represent more than 30 agencies in Taos County that are doing this AMAZING work for more 3000 children under 9 years old and their families and we WANT TO CELEBRATE THE CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND ORGANIZATIONS that make this effort everyday without recognition.
