Paso Network Members

Paso a Paso Network is a group of organizations and community representatives who voluntarily come together to work for systems change in our community. Participants assert their commitment by signing a Network Agreement and agreeing to the vision, mission and a set of decision-making principles as a framework for how we want to work together. These principles are living and continue to evolve as the Network membership grows.

Currently, there are ? active members made up of organizations and representatives working in the sectors of: early care & education; health, mental health & nutrition; special needs & early intervention, and family support services.

 
 

First Steps (Holy Cross Hospital)

First Steps provides regular visits by a trained home visitor to support the nurturing relationship between you and your baby/child. The program focuses on understanding and responding to your baby’s/child’s needs to encourage their growth, development and well-being.  Your home visitor can also connect you to any community resources/support systems that are available for families. FS sees families prenatal to three years of age.

TAOS LOVES KIDS

Taos Loves Kids provides parenting classes to our community to support and increase the nature and importance of parent/child attachment to build positive ongoing interactions. We are building a community of care for young children and their families to reduce isolation, facilitate understanding of child development, and build parent resiliency in order to decrease chances of child abuse and neglect.

Youth Heartline serves vulnerable children in families in Taos, Union and Colfax counties through direct services, family support and legal advocacy. We provide trauma-informed services with attention to the systemic issues that impact family stability. Youth Heartline operates 8 programs in our service areas that strive to meet and support families and children where they are.

Tiwa Babies Home Visiting

Tiwa Babies Home Visiting offers no-cost, strength-based, and culturally appropriate services for prenatal families, and families with children 0-5 living in Taos County.  We partner with parents and work together in the convenience of your home or other locations in the community to reflect and connect on any parenting topics.

Supports the full participation of every child built on these strengths by promoting a sense of belonging, supporting positive social relationships, and enabling families and professionals to gain advocacy skills that positively impact the life of every child.  INSPIRE provides high quality education services and believes in a whole family approach that incorporates access to behavioral health services, home visiting, family navigation and CCSS services, nutrition program, parenting classes etc in collaboration with other local community programs.

— Twirl Play & Discovery Space Inc.

Twirl is a 501 (c)3 play and discovery space serving Taos children ages 0-12 and families since 2007. We provide a unique community play space for families to connect, play and create together, and on and off-site programming to foster play, imagination and creativity throughout our community. We believe play is critical to healthy child development and that all children should have rich opportunities to play and express their creativity.

Early Childhood Education & Development (UNM)

ECED associates degree program is a Teacher Residency Program, where theory and practice are woven into the learning experience. Students are mentored by an experienced teacher in a birth – 3rd grade classroom, while taking the required ECED coursework. The program is designed to support students working in the field of education and those wanting to receive hands-on learning in the classroom.
